Studio Studio was founded by traders who needed a better tool, not a smarter black box.
From Velenje, built for serious market operators
Studio Studio was incorporated in Velenje, Slovenia, in 2021, by a four-person team with backgrounds in quantitative research, software engineering, and active equity trading. The founding idea was straightforward: algorithmic trading tools available to retail and semi-institutional traders in the EU either gave too much away to the algorithm — hiding logic inside a proprietary engine — or were so raw and developer-focused that a trader without a computer-science degree could not use them productively. We set out to occupy the space in between. The platform we built exposes every rule, every risk threshold, and every execution decision in plain language, on a slate-professional interface clean enough to monitor across a full trading session without cognitive fatigue. By the end of 2023, we had processed over 4.2 million automated order events on behalf of clients without a platform-side execution error. That number tells us the engineering is sound; it does not tell clients their strategies will be profitable — that is their domain of expertise, not ours.
How we work — and where we draw the line
Our team of eight — spread between Velenje and a remote engineering pod in Ljubljana — operates on a single-product focus. We do not run a hedge fund, offer investment signals, or take referral fees from brokers. Every broker integration is negotiated at arm's length and listed transparently on the platform. We ship a major feature update every six weeks, with a public changelog, and we maintain a community forum where users vote on the roadmap. What Studio Studio does not do is equally important to state plainly: we do not manage capital, we do not make trading decisions, and we cannot guarantee that any strategy — however well-configured — will produce positive returns. Markets involve risk that no software can eliminate. What we can guarantee is that the terminal will execute your defined rules accurately, alert you instantly when something deviates from plan, and give you the audit trail you need to understand exactly what happened and when.
